Conclusion:
JangoMail was above average in most categories. Their unlimited image hosting is a great benefit for users who want the convenience of having numerous images within the email marketing tool. JangoMail lacks a true drag-and-drop content block editor and live-chat support, but we were very pleased by both their spam checking software as well as live email testers in order to reduce users’ email campaigns being labeled as spam.
Ease of Use
JangoMail received 4 out of 5 stars for Ease of Use. They offer 101 free templates when you download their software. These templates can be fairly flexible with their WYSIWYG editor, which is an email creation tool that shows what the final content of your email campaign will look like to your readers while you are editing it. You can edit and replace images in the WYSIWYG editor and their templates allow up to 3 columns of text. JangoMail offers unlimited image hosting space, which beats our Market standard of 5 to 10 MB. Unlimited hosting is very useful for those who don’t want to spend a lot of time managing and deleting their uploaded photos. JangoMail does not allow you to drag and drop content blocks, but they will allow you to remove their logo from your emails for free.
Features
JangoMail's spam scoring tool is an integrated third party software that provides spam scoring from eight to ten different spam filters. JangoMail also provides autoresponders, which allow you to have your account automatically respond with a prewritten message whenever an email is sent to your account. Through the ability to segement your contact list into multiple groups, you can manually develop an A/B test. However, they do not have an automatic A/B testing feature. They also integrate with Google Analytics, which is a tool that tracks the traffic of your readers from your email campaign to (and throughout) your site.
Managing Contacts
Jango Mail scored 3 out of 5 stars for Managing Contacts. Contact lists can be managed very easily through JangoMail’s contact management system, and you can import contacts through any text-based file and Salesforce. They do not allow you to import directly from other email accounts or Outlook. JangoMail does automatically remove unsubscribed and bounced emails from your contact lists, making it easier for you to manage.
Campaign Reports
JangoMail scored 4 out of 5 stars for Campaign Reports. Under testing, reports accurately reflected user actions as they correctly accounted for our opens or unsubscribes. The reports will display opens, forwards, number of clicks, bounces, unsubscribes, and spam reports, but not top performing links. Reports can be displayed graphically, and you can receive your reports in an email or export them into a spreadsheet.
Customer Service
JangoMail received 4 out of 5 stars for Customer Service. They offer phone and email support, but they do not offer live chat. Phone and email support is available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST. Customer support times vary as email takes one hour or more to respond, while phone support sends you directly to voicemail if they are not there or busy. Once reached though, support is very friendly and thorough.
Pricing
JangoMail offers a free trial up to 200 emails. Their pricing is email-based as opposed to contact-based. Contact-based pricing is advantageous if you intend to send more than one email per month to the same list of contacts, while email-based pricing is useful if you think your contact lists will be variable throughout the pricing period. JangoMail charges $15 per month for 1000 emails and $25 for up to 2500 emails, among other pricing plans.
